- GOLKA The Transit of Venus for violin & orchestra
The Transit of Venus is a work for violin and orchestra inspired by the 2012 astronomical event of the same name, with music influenced by jazz, salsa, and film music. It tells of the love story between Venus (portrayed by the solo Violin) and the Sun (portrayed by the Saxophone.

Music to entertain the young and the young at heart, with a unique concert celebrating the music of cartoons including “Alice’s Wonderland,” “Felix goes to Hollywood,” and others, orchestrated by some of Hollywood’s top cartoon composers, like Mark Watters and Charles Fernandez.
Plus: Animatus Eventus (Cartoon Suite), a three movement symphonic work by Charles Fernandez based on original material with nods to cartoons from the last 80 years, including classic cartoon footage shown on a large screen.
